New Cityscape Painting: Urban Remix
I created this new cityscape painting using reference photos I took of the River North, West Loop, and The Loop neighborhoods in Chicago. First, I digitally collaged a few photos together by erasing the backgrounds and mashing them up together into layers that formed a new composition. Then, I referenced the digital photo collage to sketch the composition on canvas with charcoal before building up all the layers to create the painting. Select the images to view larger.
