The Red Dress, acrylic on panel, 12x16, 2009This new painting, started and finished in one session, is part of my portraits series. I was aiming for a more sculpted, realistic effect while trying to keep the brush strokes loose -- giving the painting a more sketch-like, expressionistic quality.
