HYDE PARK HYATT PLACE

In 2014, a new Hyatt Place opened up in the Southside Chicago neighborhood, Hyde Park near the University of Chicago. The location is off of a stretch of E. 53rd Street and is surrounded by restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, live music venues, a theater, and unique shops. I worked with leading art consultants, DAC Art Consulting, to get a couple photographs placed in their ground floor lobby bar/lounge space. Recently, I was having dinner in the neighborhood and wandered in to the lounge where my pieces were placed front and center. It was a pleasant surprise and great to see my art in this gathering space where it’s also visible from the street.
