MIAMI
Miami's mid-century architecture - especially concentrated in the South Beach area - is unsurpassed. The style, pastel colors, and design-focused attention to detail, all surrounded by palm trees and the ocean makes for a beautiful setting. The spicy food and mixing of Latin American and Caribbean cultures adds to the allure of the place. I was also drawn to Wynwood, a neighborhood of warehouses, that brings some artsy-edge to the city with funky restaurants and bars and a destination for art with the Wynwood Walls - a project that showcases street art murals by artists from around the world.
