Abstract Aerial Landscape Painting in Progress

I started working on this last week. It needs more texture and lots more layers but the composition is starting to come together. I may also change the orientation of it since it looks good a couple different ways.

New Abstract Aerial Landscape Paintings

New paintings finished and framed. Part of my aerial landscapes series I've been working on over the past year or so, they are inspired by travel, maps and the natural landscape.

New Photo on Canvas

I received my new photo printed on canvas today in the mail. Looks pretty good large scale. I took it in Amsterdam in September 2010 during an early morning walk. Such a great city and everyone riding bikes everywhere is pretty cool...

This photo will be on view at the Cornelia Open Studios - Friday May 13th.

Hope you can make it!

Right side up or upside down

I'm working on a new abstract aerial landscape painting but can't decide on orientation. Still some more layers to go -- as I paint I shift the orientation periodically. It will probably be obvious later as to how it looks better...What do you think?
